Vicky Lee, Head of Bristol City Centre BID

What do you do at Bristol City Centre BID?

My role is strategic oversight of the delivery of the business plan, and to manage the team in delivering the projects.

How does it feel to work in a female-led workplace?

There are so many inspiring women in our industry, it’s so encouraging to see women leading BIDs across the country.

Izzy Wood, Marketing Executive

How does it feel to work in a female-led workplace?

As someone starting in their career, I feel privileged to be surrounded by great women doing great things.

Name a woman who’s inspired you the most

I have to say my mum and grandma. My mum is an NHS nurse, and my grandma is so inspiring in her outlook on life.

Jess Turner, Marketing Executive

How does it feel to work in a female-led workplace?

I think it’s empowering and inspiring to see so many women in this field.

Name a woman who’s inspired you the most

I’m constantly inspired by my mum, my girlfriend and my friends. They all have an amazing outlook on life!

Laura Knight, Events Project Manager

Name a woman who’s inspired you the most

I’m going to say all the women that have shaped the development and progress of humanity but have been left out of the history books!

What is something you always carry with you?

Excitement of what’s happening next!

Louisa Briggs, Project Manager

What are your responsibilities at the BIDs?

Street cleansing, training and volunteering – All things crime, grime and slime!

Tell us about someone inspiring in your field

Fran Inman! She’s someone I can learn from, as she has really shown me the value of working closely with people.

Fran Inman, Head of Projects

What are some of your ambitions for the BIDs?

To keep Bristol as an incredible place to live, work, play and socialise in.

Name a woman who’s inspired you the most

My mum. We lost my dad seven years ago and since then, she has thrown herself into life. Whether it’s surfing, snorkelling, travelling… She’s up for anything!

Jenni Tamlin, Marketing Manager

What are your day-to-day responsibilities?

I head up the marketing team across both BIDs. All our projects are about improving Bristol as a place to work, live and visit.

Could you name a woman who’s inspired you the most?

One of my very good friends was diagnosed with cancer six years ago, while having a young family, and she’s just done it all with a smile on her face. She loves life and she’s a beautiful advocate for making the most of it!

Paula Ratcliffe, Business Liaison & Support Services Manager

What’s your role at the BID

I ensure that businesses are engaged with all our projects and services, together with any events or issues which may impact them.

What is something you always carry with you?

A photo of my daughter – I’m so proud of the woman she’s become!
