Redcliffe & Temple BID

Redcliffe & Temple Business Improvement District (BID) is a business-led initiative which exists to manage and improve the Redcliffe and Temple areas of Bristol.

The overall aim of the BID is to improve and enhance the area for the benefit of the business community. The aspiration is for it to be known not only as a thriving commercial district but also as an outstanding community.

BID THEMES

Businesses within the BID area pay an annual levy which is spent on jointly agreed BID projects which were identified during the consultation process and are summarised by the following five themes:

  • 1. Creating & maintaining quality spaces

The BID will aim to deliver well managed, outdoor spaces for all to enjoy. Projects will be delivered to make the area more attractive and the BID will seek additional funding to realise lasting, ambitious improvements.

    BID Themes
  • 2. Improving sustainability & the environment

The BID will help businesses to operate more sustainably by working closely with the many successful and pioneering schemes already in operation in Bristol. The BID will deliver initiatives to encourage a responsible business community.

    BID Themes
  • 3. Creating & promoting a vibrant place

The BID will help put the area on the map, creating an identity which will be strongly promoted. Events will animate the streets, giving the area a real sense of place, where staff and the whole community are proud to work and spend time.

    BID Themes
  • 4. Connecting & representing businesses

The BID will give businesses a strong collective voice. We ensure that consultations are shared and that the views of the businesses are heard. Working collaboratively, businesses will be much more powerful and will increase their influence.

    BID Themes
  • 5. Building a safe & caring community

Businesses in the area want to improve the area for their employees but also recognise their responsibility to the wider community. The BID will deliver projects aimed at increasing staff safety and well-being as well as supporting those in need.
