Pubs & Bars

Kings Head

The pub is best known for its historic and unusual tramcar seating interior, with the back bar dating from around 1865.

The Kings Head on Victoria Street has recently (Nov 2022) been refurbished and re-opened by St Philips brewery Good Chemistry Brewing. The only Bristol pub of National Importance in the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA)’s Heritage Listed Interiors, the pub is best known for its historic and unusual tramcar seating interior and its back bar, which dates from around 1865 and may be the oldest surviving in the country. We serve cask and keg beer from excellent local and national breweries including permanent GCB beers, alongside spirits, wines and non-alcoholic drinks. Following the lead of our first pub, the award-winning The Good Measure in Redland, the passionate and thoughtful team at the Kings Head create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.

Like so many valued and sometime under-appreciated pubs, the Kings Head has been a place for Bristol people to get together for hundreds of years and we are so pleased to be able to carry on that tradition!
