PARK STREET
OVERALL TRENDS*
Compared to June, footfall on Park Street decreased by 3%, with a 5% decrease in visitors, highlighting that the average number of visits per visitor decreased. The average daily visitor number in July was 14,224, compared to 15,351 in June.
Key trends included:
- Summer events: The busiest days for footfall coincided with events taking place in the city. These included Saturday 12 July (Bristol Pride), Saturday 19 July (Bristol Harbour Festival), and Friday 25 July (Siren Festival).
- Saturday impact: Saturdays remain the highest days for footfall. The weekly footfall patterns across July were consistent each week, with a notable spike on Saturdays.
- International visits: There was a 47% increase in footfall from international visitors in July compared to June, with the largest number of visitors from Spain. As most countries have now started their summer holidays, this could account for the rise in visitors from overseas.
*Due to an issue with the Park Street sensor, there was a full loss of data on 10 July and a partial loss of data on 9 and 11 July. All figures above include the loss of data, where true figures would be slightly higher.
