A night of fun and giving to celebrate Unicornfest.

Last week, Ye Shakespeare pub was ablaze with glitter, laughter, and a whole lot of unicorn magic as the drag queen unicorn themed charity pub quiz unfolded in all its glory. The event, hosted by Redcliffe & Temple BID and the marvellous Pom Pom, was a heartwarming success, bringing together community members, friends, and colleagues for a memorable evening of charitable giving and spirited competition.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us. The pub quiz was nothing short of a spectacle, and the lively atmosphere was further enhanced by the charismatic Pom Pom, whose captivating presence added a touch of sparkle to the night.

The highlight of the evening wasn’t just the laughter and camaraderie, but also the incredible generosity of the attendees. Through their contributions and participation, a remarkable £255 was raised as part of Unicornfest in support of Leukaemia Care, a leading UK charity dedicated to combatting leukaemia and providing vital support to those affected.

This summer, Unicornfest brings a unique, family-friendly art trail to the city featuring 60 life-sized unicorn sculptures that have been individually designed and painted by some of the South West’s leading artists.

After an intense battle of wits, the top honours went to the team named ‘Pom Pom you are the best,’ claiming victory as the champions of the night. A close second were the ‘BarbieCorn’ team, whose impressive performance secured them the second-place spot.

The night was not only about the competition but also about creativity. Laughter filled the air as teams put their creative skills to the test, crafting hilarious unicorn sculptures and producing unforgettable creations.
