April was another busy month for the cleansing team as they ensured pavement areas, high contact locations and levy payer premises were kept clean and inviting.

Strategic deep cleaning of the pavements and business doorways within the area have been a priority this month, with a thorough deep clean of Redcliff Street, a busy street used by workers and residents, completed. Next month one focus will be on deep cleaning Portwall Lane.

Whilst in the area, the team stepped in to help water our Love Bristol planters on Redcliffe Street and Portwall Lane as they were in need of some additional watering in this unseasonably dry month.

In terms of graffiti there were a notable number of graffiti tags across several hotspots, with  the team removing a total of 181 items of graffiti in over 112 different locations. For the first time in the BID, a cherry picker was used to help reach unwanted graffiti up to 12 meters high on levy payers’ building facades.

The team are working very hard to remove unwanted graffiti promptly and efficiently, ensuring that levy payers’ buildings as well as street furniture are restored back to a clear state.

Help us reduce prolific graffiti by reporting criminal damage to the police via their online reporting system.

Don’t hesitate to contact us with any unwanted graffiti you need removing or any other cleansing issues you need support with.
